L’invenzione, ovviamente, arriva ancora una volta dal Giappone, dove gli scienziati del Sol Levante sembrano saperne davvero una più del Diavolo. I giapponesi infatti hanno costruito una piantina che ha al posto delle foglie delle celle solari organiche ad alta efficienza, in grado di fornire energia solare.
Tutto ecologico, come alla fine la forma che lo ospita. L’Istituto Nazionale delle Scienze e delle Tecnologie Industriali Avanzate ha dato l’avvio alla sperimentazione di questa pianta che ha foglie di circa 23 centimetri di superficie, formata da una complessa struttura protetta da uno strato di plastica che rende la foglia flessibile. Questo fa sì che la pianta duri parecchio tempo e sia completamente ecocompatibile, ma soprattutto che, in un numero sufficiente, possano dare energia ad un intero edificio. L’idea è sorta perchè per cercare di ottenere energia solare, i giapponesi non potevano costruire grossi impianti fotovoltaici, per le note carenze di territorio utilizzabile per impianti così grandi. E così l’idea: chi non ha finestre nel proprio edificio? E a chi non piace avere delle piante alle finestre? Fatto 2+2, e ottenuta la grandiosa idea.
Per chi invece si ostina e non vuole mettere le piante alle finestre, la Biopower System ha deciso di andargli incontro, inventando due rivoluzionari sistemi per trarre energia pulita dalla natura. Sempre imitando la forma delle piante, ma questa volta marine, hanno inventato la pianta Biopower, una macchina che ha la forma delle piante acquatiche, che fluttuando nel fondo del mare, recupera energia pulita dalle correnti. Una seconda idea si chiama Bio Stream, ed è una sorta di pinna, sempre sottomarina, in grado di prendere energia dalle onde. Entrambi i marchingegni, è stato stimato, produrranno energia per circa 250 KW, sufficienti per dare energia a 500 case. Il primo esperimento su campo verrà effettuato a breve in Tasmania.
