Come colorare le uova di Pasqua.
Cari amici di Ecologiae, se vi state preparando alla Pasqua e vi chiedete come decorare casa rispettando l’ambiente, riciclando quello che avete in dispensa e risparmiando sia sulla spesa che sull’ammontare dei rifiuti di plastica prodotti, ecco qualche suggerimento utile per non rinunciare né agli addobbi a festa né alla vostra anima sostenibile.
Iniziamo da un classico della Pasqua: il cestino con le uova colorate.
Partendo dalle uova: questa immagine è esemplificativa dei dati da controllare al momento dell’acquisto. Ovviamente optate per uova con denominazione IT e prodotte nelle vostre vicinanze.
Per quanto riguardo la numerazione è preferibile da 0 a 2, dove 0 ovviamente è la scelta migliore. Da evitare assolutamente 3, quelle da allevamento in gabbia.
Acquistate le uova, è il momento di colorarle. Bando a colori e vernici tossiche ed inquinanti. Aprite il frigo ed utilizzate prodotti biologici, gli avanzi di frutta e verdura, alimenti che stanno per scadere, bucce, scorze. Ora mettete le uova a bollire a fuoco lento per almeno quindici minuti, aggiungendo all’acqua un po’ di aceto e uno dei seguenti ingredienti, in base al colore che volete conferire alle uova:
- Spinaci per il verde;
- scorza di limone, bucce d’arancia, carote per il giallo;
- caffé per il marrone;
- succo d’uva per il viola;
- bucce di cipolla rossa per il rosso;
- mirtilli per il rosa.
Ovviamente la lista non si esaurisce qui, usate la fantasia e gli ingredienti colorati che avete in casa per scovare altre associazioni. Per quanto riguarda il cestino, riutilizzate quelli che sicuramente avrete già in casa, senza acquistarne di altri. Nei prossimi post vedremo come realizzare un originalissimo cestino utilizzando dei vecchi cartoni e come far crescere dell’erba vera che poi potrà essere utilizzata per il compost, piuttosto che acquistare quegli orribili fili d’erba colorati sintetici e patetici.
