Si tratta di animali estremamente agili, abilità che consente loro movimenti scattanti e fluidi anche in spazi stretti. La loro colonna vertebrale è notevolmente flessibili e il muso appuntito. Se da un lato i furetti non possiedono una gran vista, il loro olfatto è estremamente sviluppato.
Come si può notare anche da alcune foto, la dentatura dei furetti è tipica dei carnivori: affilati e taglienti con canini molto sviluppati. Il corpo dei furetti è coperto interamente di pelliccia e la coda è lunga e folta. I furetti vivono, in genere, tra i 7 e i 10 anni e le femmine partoriscono da 1 a 12 cuccioli per volta, cuccioli che nascono nudi e privi della vista. E adesso, spazio alle foto!
