E’ proprio vero che l’unica vera democrazia esistente al mondo è quella che si trova in rete. Non solo internet concede centinaia di opportunità a chiunque, ma adesso può avere anche una funzione di “polizia”, cioè è in grado di smascherare alcuni abusi.
La Guardia di Finanza di Salerno ha dato notizia di aver sequestrato un intero lotto di terreno di 30 mila metri quadrati, comprensivo di 22 villette del condominio “Castello”, utilizzando a dovere la rete internet. Come ha fatto? Come per tutte le cose on-line, non ci vuole un ingegnere per capirlo. Visitando il sito di paginegialle.it, alcuni agenti hanno notato l’utilizzo sempre più massiccio di ruspe e materiali da costruzione in una zona piuttosto sospetta.
A quel punto hanno controllato su Google Earth la situazione, e hanno visto che quella stessa zona era completamente sgombra. I dati che sono saltati all’occhio sono due. Il primo è che la pagina di Google non era aggiornata in quanto quella zona doveva essere considerata zona protetta perché si trattava di una vasta area di macchia Mediterranea nel Parco del Cilento, protetta dall’Unesco; e poi che la costruzione rapida quanto selvaggia stava letteralmente “divorando” la collina in brevissimo tempo, mangiandosi buona parte del Parco naturale, un evento che non si vede tutti i giorni.
Infine, per un’ulteriore verifica gli investigatori della GdF sono andati a controllare le carte comunali di Marina di Camerota, il comune a cui appartiene quella zona, e si sono resi conto che, come prevedibile, non si trattava di un’area abitabile. Sono scattati subito i sequestri ed ora 42 persone sono indagate per abusivismo edilizio.
Questo accadimento apre le porte verso un nuovo strumento di indagine efficacissimo, e cioè l’occhio satellitare che vede anche ciò che noi da Terra non possiamo vedere. Lo strumento del confronto delle mappe visuali è fondamentale, perché semplicemente sovrapponendo le due, si nota come la zona dovrebbe essere, e come effettivamente è, notando con un clic un abusivismo edilizio e tantissimi altri reati, di furbetti che fino ad ora sono rimasti impuniti, ma che oggi dovranno fare i conti anche con il gigante di internet.
