Manca solo una settimana ad Halloween, e ancora non sapete cosa indossare? Anziché andare a spendere soldi in vestiti costosi che finiranno in discarica qualche giorno dopo, proviamo a fare il processo inverso: risparmiare soldi riciclando ciò che abbiamo in casa, evitando di gettarlo.
Un esempio? Il robot è sempre uno dei costumi più popolari tra i bambini. Tutto ciò che serve è una scatola di cartone o scatole grandi abbastanza da contenere tutto il corpo e alcuni oggetti domestici, come un tubo di plastica, fogli, colla, vari articoli elettrici, nastro isolante e vernice argentata.
Anche il vigile del fuoco potrebbe essere un travestimento carino, specie per i più grandi. La maggior parte del costume è fatta con aggiunta di nastro adesivo e strisce riflettenti su una giacca e un paio di pantaloni vecchi che non importa se vengono rovinati. Il cappello può essere riciclato da uno vecchio ritagliato e magari ridipinto, mentre i guanti da giardinaggio e un vecchio tubo da giardino rotto vanno a completare la divisa. L’estintore si può ricavare da una bottiglia da due litri o una borraccia dipinta di rosso ed un portachiavi come manometro. Per aggiungere un tocco in più una radio portatile, un paio di occhiali da sci, e una vecchia cinghia, indossata sopra il cappotto, concludono l’opera.
Coccodrillo. Uno dei costumi più facili da costruire è quello del coccodrillo. Basta avere a disposizione del cartone, della carta da macellaio, nastro adesivo, cesoie o forbici grandi per creare i denti, cucitrice, un pennarello nero, colla e carta velina. Ovviamente bisogna trovare qualcosa dal vostro guardaroba che sia di colore bruno o verde.
Telefono cellulare. Se siete degli amanti dei telefoni, è possibile anche indossarli. Magari quello in foto è fatto da un esperto, ma con un grande cartone ed un po’ di destrezza nel disegno e ritaglio potreste ottenere un effetto simile. Questo può servirvi da idea ispiratrice.
Infine il costume più divertente è la giostra-costume. Come un trenino delle montagne russe, l’utente Krossbow di Flickr ha pubblicato questa foto di un costume molto ingegnoso. Tutto ciò che ci vuole è una scatola di cartone – che può essere verniciata tutta di un colore – del nastro adesivo, una barra di mantenimento (può andar bene una barra di metallo con due palle da tennis su entrambe le estremità), un paio di scarpe e pantaloni dal vostro armadio, e sacchetti di plastica o di carta velina riciclata.
