Non solo nucleare. Il rischio per l’Italia ora si chiama mini-nucleare, una forma sperimentale di energia atomica per cui, se fossero confermate le prove dei Verdi, l’Italia farà la cavia. L’incredibile scoperta è stata oggi resa nota dal massimo rappresentante del partito, Angelo Bonelli, il quale ha spiegato che sin dal giorno in cui è stata firmata la moratoria per bloccare per un anno la costruzione delle centrali nucleari, il Governo aveva già in mente un “piano B”.
Il piano B si chiama mini-centrali costruite da Iris, un consorzio del colosso Westinghouse che costruisce gli impianti nucleari in America, il quale si basa su delle centrali più piccole che si adattano meglio al territorio, sono più economiche e, teoricamente, dovrebbero avere un impatto ambientale minore, tanto da poter essere costruite persino nei luoghi inospitali per le grandi centrali che tutti conosciamo.
Secondo i piani di Iris, entro il 2020 dovrebbero essere una ventina le mini-centrali costruite in tutto il mondo, e la denuncia dei Verdi è che, secondo i piani del Governo, l’Italia potrebbe ospitare le prime a vedere la luce.
Gli ardori atomici dell’esecutivo non si sono placati. C’è un fatto indicativo: nelle stesse ore in cui è stata annunciata la moratoria, il 24 marzo, il Consiglio dei ministri ha approvato un secondo decreto sulla localizzazione delle centrali con le correzioni necessarie dopo la prima bocciatura della Consulta.
In effetti un primo segnale, forse involontario, lo aveva lanciato Umberto Veronesi, l’oncologo che doveva gestire dal punto di vista scientifico l’era del nucleare italiano il quale, dopo Fukushima, aveva dichiarato:
Molti si domandano se il modello delle centrali nucleari di grossa taglia, come sono oggi tutte quelle del mondo, sia da continuare a realizzare, oppure se non è opportuno considerare l’adozione di reattori più piccoli e modulari: una rete di minireattori. Alcuni di questi sono già in produzione e dovremo studiarne a fondo le caratteristiche e la fattibilità.
Infine, concludono i Verdi, alla base degli accordi sul vecchio nucleare con la francese Areva e con Westinghouse c’era l’ex ministro Scajola, il quale aveva diretto con maestria tutti gli accordi. Una volta uscito di scena lui, questi accordi sarebbero potuti saltare, specialmente dopo Fukushima, e per questo pare che il sottosegretario Letta ed il Ministro degli Esteri Frattini possano appoggiare i nuovi progetti del mini-nucleare. Insomma, secondo i piani sospettati dai Verdi, la moratoria dovrebbe servire per mostrare la buona volontà del Governo nel non costruire le grandi centrali, per poi costruire quasi di nascosto quelle piccole. Soltanto il referendum potrebbe bloccare quest’ennesima presa in giro.
