Si sente spesso parlare di spreco di acqua e di risparmio idrico. Ma come si dice, a parlare siamo bravi tutti, ma siamo sicuri di non star sprecando anche noi troppa acqua? Uno dei modi per cui si utilizza molta più acqua del necessario è la doccia. Quanto deve durare una doccia per non essere considerati spreconi? Una linea guida precisa non c’è, ma anche in questo la tecnologia ci può dare una mano. Per una volta però non bisogna sprecare centinaia di euro per farci installare un impianto degno di un’astronave.
Se desideri conoscere quando è passato troppo tempo da quando sei entrato sotto la doccia, ma non vuoi un un sistema, come peraltro qualcuno aveva proposto, che chiude l’acqua appena hai sforato il limite, lasciandoti con il sapone negli occhi, la soluzione si chiama “waterpebble“, più piccolo, più economico ed anche più “amichevole”.
Si tratta di un aggeggio grande quanto una pallina da ping pong il quale si appoggia sul piano della doccia o della vasca, e attraverso il monitoraggio dell’acqua che cade dal momento in cui apri la doccia, ti permette di sapere quando hai attraversato la soglia dello spreco. Ma c’è di più. Piuttosto che darti una quantità d’acqua o di tempo entro cui dovresti terminare la doccia, fa in modo che quest’operazione diventi più efficiente nel tempo.
Secondo Dezeen, il piccolo waterpebble “ricorda” la quantità di acqua consumata quando è stato utilizzato per la prima volta, e la utilizza come punto di riferimento per le docce future. Una luce LED ti dice se stai usando l’acqua in modo più o meno efficiente. Quando apri la doccia la lucina è verde, quando ti stai avvicinando al punto di spreco diventa gialla, quando l’hai raggiunto diventa rossa, e da quel momento in poi tutta l’acqua che stai usando potrebbe essere risparmiata.
È stato inoltre progettato per essere completamente riciclabile. L’unica cosa di cui stare molto attenti è non metterci un piede sopra. Questo infatti potrebbe spegnere l’apparecchio, o peggio farvi scivolare, e questo di certo è molto più importante dello spreco d’acqua. È possibile acquistare un Waterpebble per circa 5 dollari (poco più di € 3,60) più spese di spedizione tramite il sito ufficiale dell’azienda produttrice.
