La Terra dei fuochi è più che mai al centro delle polemiche: il territorio tra le province di Napoli e Caserta tristemente noto per i roghi di rifiuti tossici, gli scarichi illegali, gli interramenti di rifiuti pericolosi e i gravi problemi di salute per la popolazione che ne derivano, era stato descritto molti anni fa dal pentito Schiavone, ma la verità all’epoca fu secretata. Ora le autorità sembrano voler tentare di porre rimedio alla tragica situazione, e per farlo si lavora anche con aerei per il telerilevamento, droni e satelliti.
Contro le anomalie, le criticità ambientali e ovviamente contro i reati che ne sono alla base, si farà uso di un aereo ART 42 MP per effettuare telerilevamenti, ma anche di droni (fuori dalle zone abitate) e di satelliti entro il progetto MISTRALS, Monitoraggio con Immagini Satellitari del Territorio per la Rilevazione di Abusi su Larga Scala (quest’ultimo entro un mese, anche per contrastare l’abusivismo edilizio).
Quella vergognosa pagina di storia italiana che è la Terra dei fuochi è ancora lungi dall’essere voltata e le critiche degli abitanti allo Stato che non ha prevenuto e che non è intervenuto per tempo per contrastare lo sfacelo causato dalla criminalità, sono assolutamente condivisibili. Ben vengano le nuove tecnologie e progetti innovativi, fermo restando che per la Terra dei fuochi, prima di ogni altra cosa, serve la volontà politica effettiva di voltare pagina.
L’utilizzo delle nuove apparecchiature nasce da un accordo tra il presidente della Regione Campania Caldoro e il comandante del corpo delle Capitanerie di Porto Angrisano, che prevede un’attività di telerilevamento entro tutta la fascia costiera da Gaeta a Sapri ed entro bacini interni campani. Nel primo periodo le attività di controllo e telerilevamento aereo verranno effettuate due volte al mese. Come ha commentato il presidente Caldoro
L’opzione ‘verde’ è irreversibile per la Regione Campania e l’accordo sottoscritto oggi è finalizzato, come le altre attività finora messe in campo, anche a livello legislativo, al risanamento del territorio.
