Consumo sostenibile? Acquisti equosolidali e attenti all’ambiente? Preferenza per prodotti sciolti o per confezioni e imballaggi in plastica? Sporta in cotone o shoppers? La ricerca su Sostenibilità e Consumi, il punto di vista di consumatori pubblici e privati, produttori e distributori, è stata condotta su un campione di oltre 8.000 intervistati.
L’indagine è stata effettuata dalla società Ervet (Valorizzazione Economica del territorio) partendo dal progetto europeo Life Promise. Sono stati presi in esame gli iscritti al portale di e-Coop, consumatori che già delineano un gruppo di persone determinato e abbastanza omogeneo, attento all’ambiente e all’ecologia.
Le interviste condotte su territorio nazionale hanno delineato meglio la figura del consumatore nel nostro Paese circa i principali impatti ambientali dei prodotti acquistati, la tipologia dei prodotti: eco-design, etichette verdi, tecnologie pulite; ma anche il livello di conoscenza delle procedure di acquisti verdi nella Pubblica Amministrazione; e il livello di promozione da parte dei distributori green. Dalla ricerca è emerso che i consumatori italiani:
- hanno una buona e diffusa consapevolezza delle urgenze legate alle tematiche ambientali;
- i fattori di ecosostenibilità sono determinanti per l’acquisto di un prodotto;
- gli acquisti ecosostenibilisono preferiti, eccezion fatta per quelli di difficile reperibilità, come arredi e abbigliamento;
- la consapevolezza ambientale è scarsa per il 27% del campione, buona per il 47% e ottima per il 26% degli italiani. Le differenze sono riscontrabili sul piano territoriale e generazionale. Emerge che la consapevolezza ecosostenibile è prerogativa dei giovani ma, sia i giovani sia gli anziani, hanno poi un atteggiamento poco ecosostenibile.
- Le motivazioni d’acquisto, la cosiddetta cluster analysis, sono valide per il 31% degli intervistati, il 51% non fa caso al prodotto acquistato, il 18% non è interessato;
- i consumatori scelgono i prodotti ecosostenibili anche sulla base della fiducia riposta nelle organizzazioni produttrici e distributrici, fanno attenzione alle certificazioni Ecolabel, Fsc, biologico, e alle etichette verdi.
