Prosegue l’espansione all’estero di Enel Green Power, la controllata verde del colosso energetico Enel, nel settore degli impianti di produzione di energia pulita da fonti rinnovabili. In Portogallo, la società italiana nella giornata di ieri, martedì 25 gennaio 2011, ha annunciato la messa in marcia del nuovo parco eolico di Alvaiázere che, con una potenza installata pari a ben 10 MW, sarà in grado di produrre annualmente 29 milioni di kilowattora di energia elettrica.
Trattasi, nello specifico, di un nuovo campo eolico costituito da cinque turbine aventi ciascuna una potenza pari a 2 MW; l’energia elettrica prodotta sarà annualmente in grado di soddisfare il fabbisogno energetico di 11 mila famiglie a fronte di un risparmio ambientale annuo pari ad oltre 21 mila tonnellate di anidride carbonica (CO2) non immesse in atmosfera.
In merito ai progetti eolici in Portogallo, dove attualmente Enel Green Power vanta una capacità complessiva installata pari a 96 MW, la società ha fatto presente come la capacità totale installata di Alvaiázere salirà in una fase successiva di altri 8 MW di potenza.
Intanto in Turchia, nel settore geotermico, Enel Green Power ha firmato un accordo con Uzun, gruppo industriale locale, finalizzato all’esplorazione delle potenzialità delle risorse geotermiche sul territorio del Paese estero attraverso un pacchetto composto da ben 142 licenze. Quello stipulato da Enel Green Power, in accordo con quanto messo in risalto con una nota ufficiale, è un accordo importante visto che al 2015 il Governo turco ha fissato sul territorio l’installazione di nuova capacità geotermica per una potenza complessiva pari all’incirca a 600 MW.
L’esplorazione nel geotermico da parte di EGP avverrà attraverso una società di nuova costituzione a maggioranza del capitale posseduto proprio da Enel Green Power, ed una quota di minoranza da parte di Meteor, società a sua volta controllata al 70% proprio da Uzun, e per il restante 30% da G-Energy, una società locale di consulenza geotermica.
