Restano solo 60 esemplari di orso marsicano, o meglio, ne restavano, poiché uno di questi, l’orso Stefano, è stato brutalmente ammazzato in un agguato che ha i contorni di un’inspiegabile esecuzione. Il tutto è avvenuto entro il Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise, nella parte molisana. Si pensa all’opera congiunta di più bracconieri.
Alla notizia dell’uccisione dell’orso marsicano Stefano diffusa dal Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise, in molti restano perplessi. L’orso sembra esser stato vittima di un agguato da parte di più bracconieri che imbracciavano armi differenti. Una pallottola, quella mortale con ogni probabilità, lo ha raggiunto alla testa, un’altra all’omero destro, un’altra al corpo (colpo a pallini). E così di uno degli ultimi esemplari di orso marsicano in Italia (specie a rischio di estinzione critico) resta solo il cadavere crivellato e abbandonato nel Parco nazionale.
Le modalità dell’assurda uccisione, secondo il Parco
ci restituiscono la brutalità dell’esecuzione di uno dei soli 60 orsi marsicani che ancora costituiscono la popolazione di questo splendido e rarissimo plantigrado. Un danno enorme inferto alla natura che va anche contro gli interessi delle stesse popolazioni del Parco, che chiedono la conservazione rigida di questo animale, fonte di ricchezza poiché induce un flusso turistico di notevole importanza economica.
L’Ente Parco si rivolgerà alla Procura di Isernia affinché svolga le indagini per tentare di scoprire i colpevoli, cosa che ci auguriamo possa accadere quanto prima, anche se, purtroppo, non è affatto detto. Ma la domanda principale resta in piedi: per quale motivo un gruppo di persone dovrebbero tendere un agguato a un orso marsicano in un Parco nazionale, riempirlo di colpi e lasciarlo morto oppure agonizzante?
Il commissario del Parco Giuseppe Rossi ha dichiarato:
Una delle ipotesi è che il Parco dia fastidio, con tutti i suoi vincoli, la chiusura di alcune strade e provvedimenti di vario tipo. C’é chi per principio è contrario al Parco, ma, al momento, è presto per poter dire chi sia stato e perché.
Eppure la zona specifica in cui si è compiuta l’uccisione è considerata tranquilla e relativamente priva di tensioni. Per il momento, resta un crimine difficile da spiegare.
