Cominciamo il nuovo anno con una notizia molto incoraggiante per il nostro Paese e per l’ecologia: l’aeroporto di Torino si classifica come il più green d’Italia, e del Mondo, per la tutela dell’ambiente. E’ difatti l’unico scalo in tutto il Pianeta ad aver ricevuto la certificazione Iso 50001, rilasciata dall’ente Tuv-Italia per il sistema di gestione dell’energia.
La certificazione Iso 50001 rappresenta il miglior modo di gestire l’utilizzo dell’energia nel rispetto dell’ambiente e della sostenibilità. La normativa, riconosciuta a livello internazionale, prevede la messa in pratica di strumenti e metodologie volte all’uso di fonti rinnovabili e all’uso ragionato dell’energia. L’azienda Sagat che gestisce l’aeroporto di Torino Caselle da sempre ha come obiettivo quello di conciliare le politiche di sviluppo dello scalo internazionale con le esigenze di tutela ambientale per “realizzare un sistema eroportale ecosostenibile”.
La politica ambientale messa in atto si è sempre basata sulla cooperazione con le comunità limitrofe e le autorità locali ha puntato alla riduzione delle emissioni di CO2 e dell’impatto ambientale derivato dalle attività dello scalo; al monitoraggio e alla riduzione dell’impatto acustico, che rappresenta il fattore ambientale percepito in maggiore misura dagli abitati vicini all’aeroporto; al risparmio e al corretto utilizzo dell’energia. In dettaglio il piano strategico è consistito nella riduzione del 10% del consumo di energia elettrica e del 7% di energia termica. Come spiega l’Energy Manager del gruppo Sagat
Nel sistema di gestione delle risorse che abbiamo adottato c’è una doppia valenza, economica ed ambientale. Consumare meno energia, infatti, significa anche ridurre le emissioni in atmosfera. Si opera attraverso tante piccole azioni coordinate di energy saving che partono dall’ottimizzazione degli impianti.
Uno dei metodi è consistito nell’installazione di inverter sui ventilatori delle unità di trattamento dell’aria, o dei gruppi di refrigerazione in cui sono stati attivati dei software di gestione “a cascata” che ottimizzano il consumo di energia accendendo i ventilatori a gruppi solo quando quelli in funzione hanno raggiunto il livello di rendimento ottimale. Al momento si sta valutando la sostituzione dei fari sulle torri che illuminano il piazzale delo scalo con LED.
