Il governatore della Provincia autonoma di Trento, Lorenzo Dellai, aveva firmato un’ordinanza per sopprimere M2, l’orso bruno ritenuto pericoloso per l’incolumità e la pubblica sicurezza nella Val di Rabbi e in Rendena, dove aveva fatto strage di animali da allevamento; ma il ministero dell’Ambiente ha impugnato la direttiva contestando “l’eccesso di potere” della decisione e rimandando ad altri provvedimenti prima della soppressione finale dell’animale.
E’ salvo, almeno per il momento, M2 l’orso bruno che nell’ultimo anno aveva assalito decine di animali da allevamento in Val di Rabbi e in Rendena, nella provincia autonoma di Trento. La direttiva firmata dal governatore della Provincia autonoma è stata impugnata dal ministero dell’Ambiente perché spetterebbe al ministro Corrado Clini, e non ad altri, prendere una decisione così importante. Lorenzo Dellai spiega al termine del Consiglio provinciale la sua decisione, maturata dopo continui assalti e timore da parte degli allevatori
Ho firmato una ordinanza in base alla quale uno degli orsi problematici verrà catturato per essere poi messo al sicuro.
Avrebbe dunque aderito al programma Life Ursus, volto alla reintroduzione dell’orso bruno del Brenta. Il progetto, finanziato dall’Unione Europea per “risollevare le sorti dell’ultimo nucleo di orso bruno delle Alpi italiane”, è promosso dal Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta in collaborazione con la Provincia autonoma di Trento e l’Istituto Nazionale per la Fauna Selvatica. Dunque l’intenzione del governatore è quella di proteggere e non di sopprimere l’orso bruno, proteggendo però il bestiame e i cittadini dalle sue incursioni notturne. Ha poi dichiarato, circa il progetto Life Ursus nella città di Trento
Un progetto che non ho voluto io ma che mi trovo a gestiree sul quale ho sollecitato il ministero dell’Ambiente, che mi ha risposto con una lettera interlocutoria, e Bruxelles per aprire il confronto. L’obiettivo è di gestire il futuro del progetto con il buon senso: tra chi vuole che il Trentino vada agli orsi e chi li vuole eliminare ritengo ci sia una via di mezzo.
